Body Image

What you see when you look at yourself is your body image. Everyone see them selves differently. What others around you see when they look at you is different from what you see. Someone could look at you and see a beautiful, skinny, confident person. You may see yourself as the opposite. Your body image reflects off of your confidence.
Most people base their self image off of what others tell them. If you call a person who is skinny, fat, you can really harm their self image. They may take your words hard and develop an eating disorder. The more criticism a person gets on their body the lower their self esteem goes. You never know what is going on in a person’s personal life. You never picture yourself as you really are, you picture the words you are called.
Just because you are not flawless, does not mean you aren’t beautiful. Everyone should view their selves as physically beautiful. Society says if you are not a size double zero you are automatically ugly. There is no truth in society’s opinion. Every single person is beautiful. Whether you are a double zero or a size 24 it doesn’t matter.
When you look at your self in a mirror what do you see? Do you see the flaws picked out by society, or do you see all the things that make you beautiful? In truth is majority of people see what society wants them to be and not what they are. This doesn’t matter where you live or who your family is. The reality is your body image is distorted whether you know it or not.
You were born with flaws. You were born with these flaws because no one is meant to be perfect. If you are perfect then your name is probably Barbie and you are plastic. Start looking at your flaws as beauty marks. Each flaw makes you who you are, and represent how you are different from everyone else.
In a world that tries it hardest to make you feel ugly, stand up and prove to everyone you are beautiful. Show them that you are beautiful how you are. Show them how you are beautiful with out there opinions. When you show your confidence not only do you show your outer beauty, you show your inner beauty.

If I were a stylist...

1.) I found this stylist website using Google http://alexandrastylist.com/ . This personal stylist name is Alexandra Suzanne Greenawalt, based from New York City. She has over ten years of experience and has worked with some of the top celebrities and photographers over the years. She also works with individuals with serious in need of serious fashion help.
2.) Are you in need of a new you? You may just need a little change in your appearance to get you where you want to be! My name is Julia and for ten thousand dollars and six months I can turn you into a fashion expert. This fourteen session fashion intervention will include wardrobe clarity, a day shopping, make up lessons with top make up artist, a look book, tailoring appointments as needed, a new you, and much more!  You will feel confident by the time I’m through with you!
3.) In my research of stylist I found that I can charge ten thousand dollar for fourteen sessions over six months. The price varies with the abilities and experiences of the stylist I believe.
4.) Well as you have read multiple times before in my blog; I could charge ten grand for fourteen sessions. Since I am not very experienced, connected, or know I would charge around 3,000 for fourteen sessions.
5.) If I were Ms.Harris’ personal stylist I would dress her based off of her conservative and classy tastes. I would pick out darker clothing with pops of colors or bold accessories. I would also add heels into her wardrobe. The price I would charge Ms.Harris would be 2,000 dollars for a half year session.

Calvin Klein Jeans aired a campaign featuring a 15 year old Brooke Shields who stated “Nothing comes between me and my Calvin’s.” This advertisement was the most controversial ads in fashion history.  The campaign was so controversial because Brooke Shields was so young. I don’t agree with the controversy because Calvin Klein was obviously trying to sell their jeans to a certain age group. Instead of having an advertisement with just one teen model they could have put of multiple ads with multiple young models.
Tom Fords released a cologne bottle designed as a female’s southern area.  This advertisement was controversial because it was a men’s cologne shaped as a naked woman. I agree with this controversy one hundred percent because it was so inappropriate. Tom Ford should have made this cologne shaped as a male instead.
American Apparel released a risky ad of a young Lauren Phoenix in nothing but American Apparel tube socks. This ad brought upon much controversy because it was so risky and racy. I agree this ad was too racy for me and should have been toned down. American Apparel could have at least dressed Phoenix in undergarments.
Sisley advertized a photo of two models pretending to snort a white stingy dress that looked much like a drug saying “Fashion junkie”. This ad was controversial because it promotes this drug. I agree with is because it sends a message saying it’s okay to do drugs because it makes you skinny. The only thing Sisley could have done to fix this was to not release such an ad.
Jordache promoted their famous jeans by using topless models in just jeans doing activities. This campaign was a controversy because it sent a message saying it’s ok to dress risky. I agree this ad could have had the women in tops. Jordache could have put his models in bikini tops.

Gender Roles in Fashion

Fashion is not for women or men. Fashion is for animals. Fashions designers are not doing the right thing with what they are creating. The emphasis should be on how goth you can look and how goth your pet rat can look. The designers that are really designing for goth animals are Chanel, DKNY, Dior, Betsey Johnston. Each one of these wonderful designers provides deep and dark looks for your pets. Each season they are making there clothes scarier darker and more deathly. I think they like to design for goth animals because it’s new and creative, fun and funky!

WHAT IS BEAUTY?

Beauty is what you look like on the outside. My personal style is gothic and scary; I think it really brings out my true emotions. What makes me unique is my finger nails: they are always painted pretty. Beauty is defined by the media as stick skinny perfectly perfect girls. I don’t think this is accurate because most women don’t look like that. Socio-economic status affects beauty because not everyone can afford what’s “in style”. Beauty has become more stressed in the 21st century. Current fashion is scary and gothic like me, of course. I would like to make Fashion even gothicer. Gothic Animals are the worlds new beauty. You will see.
